Coe-Brown Boys, Hanover Girls Flex D2 Power At Meet of Champions By Mary Albl of DyeStat Even without their top runner and one of the nation's best, Aidan Cox, the Coe-Brown boys cross country team showed why they are such a successful and storied program. Led by senior Tyler Tkaczyk’s sixth-place finish (15:57.5), Coe-Brown placed four runners in the top 25 to score 70 points and win the New Hampshire Meet of Champions on Saturday at Alvirne High School in Hudson. According to concordminitor.com, Cox battled a minor injury last weekend at the Divisional championships where he placed second. On Saturday, it was a fight to the finish for the individual title, as Gilford senior Patrick Gandini won in 15:05.2, edging out Lebanon’s Birhanu Harriman (15:05.4). In the girls race, Portsmouth Christian senior Brianna Malone dominated the 5,000-meter course in 18:04 to defend her title. Oyster River’s Haley Kavanagh was second in 18:50.6. In the team race, Hanover scored 86 points to finish first. The week prior, Hanover won its first Division 2 title in 13 years.
